[Hiring] Sales Intern @Digital Alpha Platforms

Role Description

We build AI-powered finance tools for private equity, venture capital, and financial services firms, and we're now bringing that technology to small and medium-sized businesses for the first time: bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, and more, run by AI.

This isn't an internship built around watching how AI works from the sidelines. We need someone who wants to contribute directly, start real conversations with business owners and turn them into signed customers. If you already have a sales mentality and a knack for connecting with people, we'll teach you the rest.

What You'll Do

• Reach out to small and medium-sized business owners and start conversations about how they manage their finances today.
• Listen for pain points: slow books, messy reconciliations, no real-time visibility, and connect them to how our platform solves them.
• Run simple conversations and demos, virtual or in person, that show the value clearly.
• Close the deal and get the customer signed on.
• Follow up consistently and track where each prospect stands.
• Build relationships that turn into referrals, so your own book of business grows.

Qualifications

• A real sales personality comfortable starting conversations with strangers, and energized by closing, not just checking a box.
• Proof you can sell: past sales internship, retail or hospitality work, a side hustle, competitive extracurriculars, anything that shows you can hustle and connect with people.
• A hustler's mindset: proactive and quick to pick up new tools.
• Resilient and coachable: you take feedback well and don't get discouraged by a no.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• Currently pursuing a degree; no specific field required, though business, finance, marketing, or communications coursework can help.

Good to Have

• Coursework or hands-on experience in finance and technology.
• Exposure to private equity, venture capital, or financial services.
• Prior sales, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience.
