This role is a critical part of our European Sales organization, responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities across the region. Based in India, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will drive outbound prospecting and lead generation across multiple European markets, working from our existing prospect database and identifying new stakeholders within target institutions. This is a purely outbound, top-of-funnel role focused on creating meaningful conversations with relevant prospects, qualifying opportunities, and generating qualified meetings for the European sales team.

What can you expect from the position?

• Proactively engage prospects across Europe through personalized email outreach, outbound calls, and other approved professional channels.
• Research target universities, medical schools, hospitals, healthcare organizations, engineering institutions, and corporates to identify decision-makers, influencers, and potential champions.
• Conduct qualification conversations to determine institutional fit, business need, relevant solutions, and purchasing timelines.
• Book qualified meetings and generate sales-qualified leads and new opportunities for the European sales team, including re-engaging lapsed or inactive accounts.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, statuses, and follow-ups in Salesforce/Asana.
• Ensure strict compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, and applicable data protection regulations across all outreach activity.
• Collaborate closely with European Account Managers, Sales Management, and Marketing as an extension of the regional sales organization.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, telesales, lead generation, or outbound B2B sales.
• Demonstrated track record of generating leads through outbound activity.
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional European languages a plus.
• Strong telephone and written communication skills, particularly for personalized outreach.
• Experience working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce; familiarity with Asana a plus.
• Ability to research accounts and map relevant stakeholders within complex institutions.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with overlapping European working hours.
• Experience selling into education, healthcare, medical education, engineering, academic publishing, SaaS, or similar B2B environments is desirable.
• Experience prospecting universities, medical schools, hospitals, or engineering corporations is a plus.
• Understanding of GDPR / European data protection requirements is preferred.
