Role Description
We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager (SDM) to drive new business growth for Modus Create across the US and Canada. In this full-time, remote role, you’ll lead a team of Sales Development Representatives while taking a hands-on, “player-coach” approach to outbound prospecting and opportunity generation.

Provide operational leadership through coaching, training, performance management, and KPI reporting.

Contribute directly to prospect research, personalised outreach, opportunity qualification, and meeting generation.

Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop the team, strengthen the sales pipeline, and share market insights.
Qualifications
-
Previous experience managing SDRs or individual contributors is preferred.

Previous experience in an SDR, inside sales, or business development role is preferred.

Previous experience in the software and technology sector is preferred.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Comfortable making outbound sales calls.

Organised, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

Experience using a CRM system is preferred.
Requirements

Team Management & Operations

Provide operational leadership to the Sales Development team, including training, coaching, and performance management.

Manage team reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Support recruiting and hiring for the team as required.

Help team members develop and achieve their performance goals.

Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting against team KPIs.

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

Drive new business through high-volume outbound prospecting activities.

Research prospective customers, industries, and market trends to create highly personalised and relevant communications.

Engage with prospects through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach.

Ensure outbound activity consistently meets or exceeds weekly and monthly targets.

Maintain a focus on relevant, researched, and personalised prospect messaging.

Opportunity Qualification & Meeting Scheduling

Identify and qualify new sales opportunities.

Schedule meetings for the Sales team.

Meet or exceed activity and appointment-setting goals.

Monitor the number and quality of qualified opportunities and scheduled meetings.

Support effective conversion of scheduled meetings into qualified sales opportunities.

CRM & Sales Administration

Maintain accurate prospect, opportunity, and activity records in the CRM.

Ensure prospect and opportunity data remains current, complete, and accessible to the Sales team.

Support accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting through effective CRM administration.

Relationship Building & Collaboration

Build strong, professional relationships with prospective customers.

Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth hand-off of qualified opportunities.

Support the quality and readiness of opportunities passed to Sales.

Maintain positive and professional engagement with prospects throughout the outreach process.

Market Feedback & Marketing Optimisation

Provide relevant market and prospect feedback to the Sales and Marketing teams.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to review and optimise messaging and positioning.

Organise and share actionable insights to help improve the sales process.

Contribute to updates of the sales messaging framework to improve relevance and engagement.
