Role Description
The Regional Investment Consultant (RIC) is responsible for sales of Thrivent Mutual Funds, Managed Portfolios, ETFs, and SMAs. Position will provide field sales coverage within assigned territory as well as assist in some national assignments to Financial and Investment Representatives.

Proactively interact with Financial Representatives through field meetings, telephone, email, and virtual presentations.

Master and utilize extensive product knowledge, competitive positioning, sales process skills, and case consultation skills.

Address advanced planning topics where Thrivent products are utilized.

Develop and execute a business plan, manage the territory, and identify opportunities for Thrivent Funds.

Provide sales and sales support to Financial and Investment Representatives within all channels Thrivent Distributors has access to.

Total compensation consists of an annual salary, quarterly performance-based bonuses, and monthly variable compensation for a target comp range of $335k to $400K with unlimited upside based on territory sales.
Qualifications

Excellent ability to communicate complex investment product related sales concepts.

Expert level understanding of product features and benefits and their application to individual client sales situations.

Strong entrepreneurial instincts.

Minimum 5-10 years of financial services experience, preferably wholesaling, with demonstrated increases in responsibility.

Advanced financial services designations a plus.

FINRA SIE, Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Strong public speaking skills.

Proven relationship building and management skills.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Deep understanding of competitorsβ products in all asset classes.
Requirements

Extensive ability to travel in territory, 75 to 80%, travel may include overnight stays depending on home location.

Fulfills required administrative/team responsibilities such as CRM data entry, call reporting, expense reports, and conference calls.

Provide new ideas for product solutions within financial planning concepts.

Collaborate with senior Marketing and Products, Field Distribution, and other executives to identify innovative product development opportunities.

Adhere to all compliance guidelines including use of pre-approved marketing materials, prospectus requirements, and proper licensing.

Manage annual T&E budget.

Conduct client seminars and events.

Conduct daily activities in the highest professional manner.
