Role Description
The Principal Relationship Manager is responsible for sales, business development, project management, and strategic client management for key merchants within assigned industry verticals, including Hotel, Car Rental, Lodging, and Entertainment. Key objectives include driving and protecting incremental revenue, improving market share, and enhancing the customer experience while maximizing profitability against priority goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Client Leadership:

Establish and deepen executive relationships across the Hotel, Car Rental, Lodging, and Entertainment verticals.

Drive high-level strategy with clients to maximize transaction volume and market share while identifying new internal and external business opportunities.

Deep-Dive Data Analysis:

Leverage a strong business analyst background to perform deep-dive data analysis on merchant performance, industry trends, and transaction metrics.

Translate complex data into compelling client presentations and actionable strategic roadmaps.

Product & Marketing:

Ensure the implementation of value-added products, broaden our acceptance footprint, and execute joint marketing initiatives to improve merchant awareness and increase transactions.

Operational Excellence:

Implement operational initiatives, ensure compliance with network change release processes and business practices, and verify that partners include all appropriate company products in their offerings.

Risk & Leadership:

Manage and escalate risk or customer-impacting issues to management, providing ongoing coaching and guidance to team members.

Client Facing:
-
This will require travel up to 15% domestically (approximately 4β5 trips per year) for client meetings.
Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

At least 5 years of experience in sales, relationship management, business development, strategy, operations or project management within financial services
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Finance (preferred)

6+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, business development, strategy, operations or project management within financial services (preferred)

3+ years of data analysis experience and experience creating client-facing presentations (preferred)

Payments industry experience (preferred)
