[Hiring] Principal Presales Engineer, Product Specialist @Twilio

Role Description

Join the team as Twilio’s next Principal Presales Engineer, Product Specialist. This position is needed to partner closely with sales, solutions engineering, and enterprise strategists to consult on complex, multi-product opportunities. You will scope, design, and validate how complex multi-product solutions fit into the client’s ecosystem and help paint the long-term Twilio vision for our customers. You will be a critical partner cross-functionally, working with product, engineering, and marketing to identify and share technology patterns and shifts from our clients (and prospects) to influence product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop your expertise of the Twilio platform, use cases and buyer personas, while keeping up with industry trends in Voice + AI.
• Scope, design, and build multi-product solution architecture and compelling presentations to secure the Technical Win.
• Support core sales and solutions engineering team members on value-selling strategies and complex solution sales.
• Design and validate scalable, secure, multi-product messaging architectures aligned to customer ecosystems and long-term Twilio adoption.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineers, and Enterprise Strategists to drive technical validation and secure the technical win in complex sales cycles.
• Document recent patterns and technology shifts with our clients and prospects to influence Product and R&D strategy and roadmap via GTM interlock and PDLC processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and validating Conversational AI or LLM-driven architectures (e.g., integrating OpenAI, Dialogflow, or similar models via APIs).
• Experience leading pre-sales or solution architecture engagements, including scoping, design, and technical validation in both Portuguese and English language.
• Strong background in API-based, event-driven systems, with hands-on experience using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Working knowledge of at least one backend language such as Node.js or Python, with prior software development or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in messaging platforms, including throughput management, retry strategies, and deliverability optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across sales, engineering, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience working in an overlay or specialist pre-sales capacity.
• Experience collaborating with Product on roadmap or positioning.
• Prior exposure to Twilio products or other CPaaS platforms.
• Business-level proficiency in Spanish.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in Brazil.
