Role Description

This is a remote position available to candidates who currently reside in LA, California – East LA.

The Payment Solutions Market Manager is an individual contributor sales role responsible for driving business development and sales within the Small Business and Branch Banking segment, specifically serving companies with less than $2.5 million in annual revenue. This role focuses on developing new business relationships while expanding and increasing profitability within existing client accounts.

• Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities through a combination of self-sourced prospecting and close partnership with Business Banking Specialists and branch colleagues.
• Identifies sales opportunities based on a strong understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and the organization’s products and services.
• Makes consultative sales presentations to existing and prospective clients, clearly articulating the value and benefits of payment solutions to meet their business needs.
• Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to support ongoing sales activity and growth.
• Focuses on expanding payment solutions within the small business environment through proactive relationship management and targeted sales efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant sales experience.
• Ability to travel.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of sales experience, preferably in payments or merchant services.
• Knowledge of payment processing products, services, and industry practices.
• Bilingual proficiency with the ability to read, write, and speak English and at least one additional language.
• Proven experience in business development, marketing, sales, and contract negotiation.
• Strong sales acumen with a demonstrated ability to build, manage, and advance a sales pipeline.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve client issues effectively and creatively.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service focus with a commitment to follow-up and relationship management.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related technology preferred.
• Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage opportunities and track sales activity.
• Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Demonstrated record of achievement with a high level of motivation, integrity, competitiveness, and professionalism.
