Role Description
The Independent Agency Sales Support Specialist supports National General growth initiatives by executing outbound agency engagement and sales support activities. This role plays a key execution role across campaign-based outreach, agency support initiatives, and test-and-learn efforts designed to expand agency participation and product adoption. This is an individual contributor role focused on execution, delivery, and consistent visibility into activity, progress, and results.
Key Responsibilities

Outbound Agency Engagement & Sales Support

Execute outbound outreach to independent insurance agencies as part of assigned campaigns and initiatives.

Conduct professional, consultative B2B conversations to communicate product value and next steps.

Work efficiently through assigned call lists and engagement activities with urgency and attention to detail.

Campaign & Initiative Execution

Support multiple concurrent sales support initiatives, including call campaigns, pilot programs, prospecting campaigns, and re-engagement efforts for inactive or under-penetrated agencies.

Secure agreement for follow-up qualification or handoff to internal sales or agency support partners.

Execute assigned tasks within defined workflows in a dynamic, test-and-learn environment.

Adapt to new processes, tools, and engagement models as initiatives evolve.

Agency Partnership & Follow-Through

Serve as the primary outbound point of contact for agencies during assigned outreach initiatives.

Address common questions and objections using approved messaging and guidelines.

Maintain a professional, consistent agency experience that supports long-term relationship building and product adoption.

Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and effective follow-through after agency engagement.

Tracking, Documentation & Reporting

Maintain highly detailed and accurate records of outreach activity, agency responses, and outcomes in designated systems.

Track performance against call volume expectations, outreach targets, and initiative timelines.

Produce regular activity and status updates highlighting outreach progress, risks, trends, and follow-up needs.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of records to enable visibility and downstream execution.

Compliance & Data Integrity

Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards.

Safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and maintain data integrity across systems.

Identify and escalate data issues, risks, or compliance concerns as appropriate.
Qualifications

Experience working in a B2B, agency, sales support, or outbound contact environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with external partners.

Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume outreach or execution work with urgency.

Strong organizational skills, including detailed tracking and documentation.

Experience working with independent insurance agencies and knowledge of Property & Casualty products preferred.
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).

0-2 years experience (Preferred).

This job does not have supervisory duties.

In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
