Role Description
The National Account Manager is a field-based commercial role responsible for driving appropriate patient access and uptake of J&J’s Myeloma CAR-T across the UK. Working as part of a cross-functional team, the NAM will develop and implement a brand and portfolio strategy locally, build strong clinical partnerships, and support the optimisation of patient pathways.
Key Responsibilities

Act as a therapy and product expert, delivering high‑quality, compliant clinical promotion within licensed indications and maintaining expert-level knowledge of therapy area, products, competitors and the wider landscape.

Drive clinical demand through execution of brand strategy and key in‑field tactics, using confident, balanced scientific selling to positively influence prescribing behaviour and challenge the status quo where appropriate.

Lead execution of local account and strategic account plans, working cross‑functionally to accelerate uptake, optimise patient referral pathways and address access barriers across the patient journey.

Build strong, trusted relationships with clinicians and wider healthcare partners, delivering appropriate HCP education and developing local prescribing advocates who can influence practice locally, regionally and nationally.

Develop and implement effective customer call plans to achieve optimal coverage and frequency, maximising access and commercial opportunities.

Demonstrate excellence in CRM and data utilisation, using insights and dashboards to inform decision‑making and drive performance against agreed objectives.

Proactively gather and share customer insights and market intelligence with the cross-functional team to inform strategy, tactical development and continuous improvement.

Apply customer preference mapping, persona development and digital engagement approaches to tailor interactions and optimise multichannel communication.

Support the cross-functional team prepare future launch plans and drive uptake of treatment from day one of launch.
Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical sales or commercial roles, ideally within Haematology.

Strong scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and credibly.

Strategic mindset with strong business planning and execution capability.

Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

High levels of accountability, ownership and learning agility.

Ability to work effectively in a matrix and cross-functional environment.

ABPI qualification preferred.
