Role Description
We are looking for a Machine Demonstrator to demonstrate the capabilities and features of all machine types marketed by Volvo Construction Equipment Limited ensuring they are presented to the best advantage for both existing and future customers. You will be responsible for inspecting used equipment from all manufacturers and compiling comprehensive reports to ensure accurate valuations and support new machine sales activity. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in appraising endβofβlease and GBB machines against clearly defined return condition contracts, while actively engaging in UK and export sales opportunities as directed by the GB National Used Equipment Sales Manager.
What you'll be doing:

Demonstrations:
-
Demonstrate the capabilities of Volvo Construction Equipment, including current and future product lines.

Liaise with local area management in Sales and Support areas for demonstration approval.

Ascertain machine availability dates with Sales Administration and agree on demonstration dates.

Ensure a risk assessment of the site is completed and that the machine is fit for purpose.

Manage demonstration logistics and costs with the preparing depot and transport administrator.

Check the presentation quality of the unit prior to demonstration.

Manage the running and quality of the demonstration, reporting any defects.

Prepare and submit the demonstration report to the responsible ABM and RBM.

Operator Familiarisation:
-
Organise and/or carry out Operator familiarisation as required.

Work closely with the region to schedule workload effectively.
-
Market Operator familiarisation services to generate revenue income for the Region.

Used Machine Inspections:
-
Carry out full appraisal and inspection of Volvo Construction Equipment and other requested equipment.

Complete necessary reports accurately and timely.
-
Communicate additional comments to assist Regional Used Equipment Managers in valuations.

Inspect end of lease and GBB machines and compile reports.

Support administration team with UED stock checking and validation.
-
Maintain sound customer focus and promote additional business.

Submit accurate timesheets and maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness.

Observe Company Health and Safety regulations at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

Cover between Regions for colleagues absent due to sickness or holidays.

Assist other departments at major events with consent from Team Leader and Regional Management.

Organise and participate in internal familiarisation courses for staff.
Qualifications
-
Skill and experience in the operation of all relevant types of Construction Equipment.

Ability to provide operator familiarisation in correct and safe operating procedures.
-
Possession of valid C.I.T.B. certificates of competence for all relevant machine types.

Valid UK driving licence.
-
Smart appearance and ability to communicate well at all levels.
