Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead, Business Development to join our team, focusing on tradeshow marketing and communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing business development activities. This includes:

Organizing tradeshows

Gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence

Managing budgets for BD activities
Essential Functions:

Tradeshow Organization:
-
Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in industry tradeshows, conferences, and events.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Develop and manage event schedules, budgets, and logistics.

Coordinate with communications organization to develop cohesive tradeshow & conference marketing materials.

Ensure that marketing materials are effectively presented and distributed during events.

Track and analyze leads generated through tradeshows and report on ROI.

Competitive Intelligence:
-
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
-
Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
-
Maintain and update a comprehensive database of competitor information.
-
Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis.

Budget Management:
-
Develop and manage budgets for business development activities and projects.
-
Monitor expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines.
-
Work with finance teams to forecast budgets and track financial performance.

Provide regular budget reports and analysis to senior management.
Up to 15% business travel. Ability to obtain U.S. Secret security clearance.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant business development, communications or marketing experience.

Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience.

In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:

Proven experience in tradeshow organization, competitive intelligence, and budget management.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Company Description
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $122,000 - $227,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $106,000 - $197,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
