Role Description

As the Lead Account Manager for the Chinese Market at Scrambly, you will own the full scope of our Chinese advertiser portfolio β€” from technical campaign setup and performance optimization to B2B communication and strategic upselling.

You'll build the Chinese market function from the ground up. Beyond managing advertiser relationships directly, you will independently lead hiring, onboard, and develop your future team members, and establish the workflows and processes that will define how this vertical operates at scale.

You'll serve as the primary contact for our Chinese market partners (e.g., Lilith, FunPlus, etc.), driving marketing strategy discussions, managing day-to-day communication, and owning campaign performance end-to-end. As the team grows, you will transition into a player-coach role β€” staying close to key accounts while managing and mentoring your reports.

Your goal is to grow the Chinese market vertical into a reliable, high-performing revenue stream for Scrambly, with a team and processes capable of sustaining that growth independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full Chinese advertiser portfolio: campaign setup, optimization, and performance against KPIs
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with Chinese market partners
  • Identify and execute upsell and expansion opportunities across the portfolio
  • Onboard new advertisers and ensure smooth campaign launches
  • Independently lead recruitment for the Chinese market team as headcount is approved
  • Onboard, develop, and manage team members as the vertical scales
  • Design and implement team workflows, communication standards, and performance tracking processes
  • Assess the competitive landscape and surface actionable revenue growth opportunities
  • Provide structured reporting on vertical performance to the Head of Revenue

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in performance marketing, with at least 1 year in an account management or team lead capacity
  • Experience in handling advertisers/clients/sales with Chinese game developers
  • Book of business of Chinese game developers
  • Proven ability to independently manage a book of business and hit revenue targets
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience or readiness to hire and develop a team
  • Solid analytical skills β€” confident working with campaign data, EPC, and multi-reward performance metrics
  • Understanding of mobile attribution and campaign tracking
  • Highly autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward building structure in ambiguous environments
  • Native Chinese speaker
  • High proficiency in English (B2+, written and spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with MMPs such as Appsflyer and Adjust
  • Knowledge of CPA, CPI, and CPE campaign models
  • Prior experience scaling a team or function from scratch
