Role Description
Acts as the key point of contact between Sanford Laboratories and its clients by providing the highest level of professionalism. Responsibilities include:

Answering queries, offering advice, and introducing new laboratory products.

Consulting and providing guidance regarding reference laboratory issues for customers in designated territory.

Reviewing sales performance, negotiating contracts, and defining the scope of services.

Aiming to achieve monthly and annual targets consistently and aggressively.

Educating, instructing, and upselling all assigned and newly generated accounts in a predetermined geographic territory.

Maximizing and maintaining the volume of business from these accounts.

Traveling to any laboratory site depending on the needs of the facility and at the discretion of leadership.
Develops a sales strategy for existing and future territories with awareness of first impression impact. Responsibilities include:

Selling laboratory services by developing relationships with customers and prospects.

Achieving organizational and territory revenue objectives while forging strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and executives.

Growing sales in assigned territory in accordance with quotas established by senior management.

Collaborating in a professional and respectful manner with internal stakeholders to maximize quality and analyze profitability.

Providing ongoing service and problem solving to the customer base within the geographic territory.

Retaining and growing the assigned account base and new accounts in defined geography.

Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
-
Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends and market activities.
-
Seeking business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating position in the industry.

Conducting service reviews and other account management duties with assigned accounts.

Following up to ensure operational efficiency for both the practice and Sanford Laboratories.

Maintaining accurate records of all account management and sales prospecting activities.
-
Documenting sales activities, pipeline, referrals, and forecasts in the client relationship database.

Demonstrating and understanding the importance of 'big picture' thinking and organizational acumen.

Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences or related fields is required.

Minimum of two years proven track record of successful sales growth in medical sales.

Prefer two years’ laboratory experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory.
-
Two years experience specifically in diagnostic sales preferred.

Ability to articulate product information when interacting with physicians.
-

Must have a current valid driver’s license and meet all guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.

Required to travel to territory locations consistently.
