Role Description
The Director of Internal Sales plays a key leadership role in one of the most strategically important growth initiatives within the Export 2.0 organization. This role focuses on developing and accelerating sales through intragroup partnerships with other ASSA ABLOY entities, particularly the Industrial Business Segment (BSI), Pedestrian Business Segment (BSP), and Opening Solutions segments in the EMEIA region.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Export, this position manages a structured internal sales program designed to align the export capabilities of Donimet, Mercor, and Malkowski-Martech with customer needs across the group. This position requires a business-oriented leader who can build strong internal relationships, coordinate complex projects, and ensure the Door Business segment is a partner for ASSA ABLOY sales teams in Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

Driving internal sales growth across ASSA ABLOY branches and regions, driving commercial success through structured internal partnerships.

Serving as the primary commercial liaison between the export department and group partners such as BSI, BSP, and Opening Solutions.

Translating the Export 2.0 strategy into practical internal distribution channel plans aligned with export product certifications, market needs, and supply capabilities.

Account Development and Coordination:

Building and managing strong relationships with internal accounts, developing strategic plans, and supporting commercial activities for internal accounts.

Supporting the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification, through proposals, pricing, technical clarification, and order fulfillment.

Ensuring full visibility of project status across the team, enabling structured action.

Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with the export team, product management, operations, engineering, and marketing to ensure smooth execution and communication.

Actively support the development of internal sales tools and training materials to promote awareness and engagement within the ASSA ABLOY Group.

Ensure alignment with DBS pricing and Export 2.0 management regarding key offers and strategic accounts.

Implementation and Performance Monitoring:

Achieve or exceed sales targets (order volume, margin) and support KPI reporting to senior management.

Monitor technical and contractual compliance of all internal offers and projects.

Analyze internal customer feedback to continuously improve the offering and experience.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, key account management, or internal business development roles.

Experience working in an international organization—preferably in internal customer service channels or indirect sales.

Knowledge of door solutions, construction design, or technical building products is a plus.
Requirements

Demonstrated relationship-building skills with strong team decision-making skills.

Excellent sales and project coordination skills.

Fluent English; additional languages such as French or German are a plus.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficient knowledge of MS Office; experience with ERP and CRM systems required. AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
