Role Description
We are seeking a Sales Account Manager for a fixed-term position (13β14 months, TBC) to provide maternity leave cover. This role will ensure continuity of service, relationship management, and pipeline oversight during the current Sales Account Manager's absence, including a structured handover period before leave, full coverage throughout, and a transition period upon return (approximately two months on each side).
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with senior stakeholders, including management and C-suite executives, while advising on business solutions, consultancy, and managed services. The role involves working closely with both existing clients and partners to support ongoing account activity and identify new business opportunities.
This position is well suited to a driven, ambitious, and proactive individual who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced sales environment and engaging with high-level decision-makers.
We offer flexible and remote working options, along with travel required to client sites and company offices as necessary. The Sales Account Manager will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Qualifications

Proven experience in a Sales Account Manager or Account Executive role within IT services, cloud services or technology solutions.

Passion for building trust and communicating effectively with clients.

Consistent track record of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Commercially minded with an ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.

Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Well-developed communication abilities.
Requirements

Cultivating and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty, acting as the main point of contact.

Conducting regular meetings with clients to understand their business needs, pain points, and objectives, and proposing appropriate IT solutions.

Identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities within the existing accounts by understanding client requirements and aligning them with new or additional solutions.

Collaborating with the technical teams and pre-sales to create customised IT solutions and service proposals that match the clientβs specific needs.

Overseeing the implementation of IT solutions by coordinating with internal teams and ensuring the timely delivery of projects and services.

Handling contract negotiations working closely with the CCO, renewals, and any amendments with clients.

Overseeing the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they are properly trained and set up to use the IT solutions effectively.

Addressing and resolving any client issues or concerns in a timely manner, coordinating with support teams or internal technical teams.

Working closely with sales, technical, and support teams to ensure a seamless experience for the client.

Actively managing the sales pipeline for existing accounts, ensuring that opportunities are tracked, followed up on, and moved through the sales cycle in a timely manner.

Providing accurate forecasts on future revenue based on pipeline activity, client engagements, and potential deals.

Identifying opportunities to generate referrals from existing clients.
