Role Description

As an Inside Sales Executive for Kemper Auto, you would be responsible for conducting weekly outbound sales calls and proactive agency communications to increase production in quotes and written premium. The Inside Sales Executive is tasked with engaging a large number of agencies in an assigned State or territory with an objective to meet and exceed annual goals. They work alongside the field sales executive to identify sales opportunities, grow revenue profitably, produce results that meet defined objectives and sales quotas, and act as a brand ambassador to our agents and brokers. Clear and concise communication skills are critical to be successful in this position. Discipline and self-motivation are required to meet sales objectives and goals. This position offers the potential to earn an annual discretionary bonus, determined by your success in the role and company objectives being met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong agency relationships; guide, direct and manage agents assigned to you to achieve sales quotas and business objectives.
  • Execute outbound sales call goals.
  • Act as a company representative and liaison between agency and company personnel to identify and resolve issues that detract from profitable growth.
  • Collaborate and work with the field Sales and Product teams to achieve team goals and agent growth.
  • Drive new agency appointments forward through the defined onboarding process.
  • Participate in and lead training sessions to ensure agency is comfortable with products and guidelines.
  • Manage the agency relationship toward quote adoption and positive production in partnership with field Sales Executives.
  • Participate in regular strategy and tactical meetings with assigned field Sales Executive partners and Inside Sales leadership.
  • Occasional field travel and agency visits will be required.
  • Participate alongside field sales in insurance association conventions, seminars, trade shows, and various other agency-related functions.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Insurance experience highly preferred but not necessary.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Bi-Lingual a plus (Spanish).
  • Ability to interpret statistical data from company reports and build action plans around the insights obtained from the data.
  • Effective communication skills and acceptable public speaking ability.
  • Flexible in nature and a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Basic ability to operate a computer (PC) including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate time management skills.
