[Hiring] Head of Sales Development @Block

Role Description

The Sales Development team at Cash App is responsible for creating and qualifying the demand that drives revenue to our core consumer payments businesses, Afterpay and Cash App Pay, giving our Merchant partners access to the largest and most engaged network of next generation consumers. We are looking for an experienced, operationally rigorous, and highly collaborative Head of Sales Development to unify and grow this program in North America & the United Kingdom.

This is a newly created role, and the first time we will have led this function across markets. The opportunity is to bring these teams together into a single global function and scale what is already working:

A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a well-formed point of view on how a modern sales development function should be structured and scaled, and pairs that with the judgment to understand an existing motion deeply before evolving it.

Qualifications

• An obsession with our products and a motivation fueled by feeling the impact of your work as more consumers build financial wellness with Cash App & Afterpay
• 8+ years experience in sales or sales development, including at least 5 years leading sales development, BDR, or SDR teams
• A well-formed point of view on how sales development should be structured and scaled
• Proven experience navigating and operating effectively within matrixed global organizations
• A demonstrated track record of building repeatable motions that generate pipeline
• Strong partnership instincts with marketing
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop talent
• Strong executive presence, with demonstrated ability to influence and earn trust with senior leaders
• Comfort working with analytics & tools that support business performance measurement & management

Requirements

• Experience growing a scaled motion upmarket
• A scrappy and builder's mindset, with practical experience applying tooling, automation, and AI to prospecting
• A willingness to travel, and comfort working across North America, UK, and ANZ time zones
• Experience in payments, fintech, or a high-transaction-volume technology business
