Role Description

Are you commercially driven, confident in negotiation, and passionate about the world of IT hardware? An established IT solutions and technology services provider is looking for a Hardware Trader to join its team and play a key role in buying and reselling enterprise technology.

Working across products including networking equipment, laptops, servers, storage, and other IT hardware, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, negotiating deals, and helping maximize revenue and margin in a fast-moving market.

As a Hardware Trader , you’ll be at the center of the buying and selling process, constantly looking for opportunities across different products, suppliers, and markets. You’ll use your understanding of market pricing, availability, and customer demand to make commercially sound trading decisions.

• Sourcing enterprise IT hardware from a range of suppliers and distribution channels.
• Identifying profitable buying and selling opportunities.
• Monitoring market pricing, product availability, and demand.
• Negotiating purchase prices with suppliers and sales prices with customers.
• Buying and reselling IT hardware while maintaining healthy margins.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships.
• Managing inventory and assessing stock and trading risk.
• Identifying new opportunities across products, suppliers, and markets.
• Working towards agreed revenue and margin targets.
• Responding quickly to changes in market conditions and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge or experience within the IT hardware market.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing and margins.

• A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
