[Hiring] Field Sales Consultant @Cengage Group

Role Description

Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.

• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching and education sales, preferably in the publishing industry.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain effective working relationships with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to transport materials to customer locations is essential to this role; therefore, must be able to lift 50 lbs unaided.

Requirements

• Sales experience with exceptional knowledge of digital information delivery, education, or the informational technology industry.

• Base pay range: $52,000.00 - $67,600.00 USD.
• Target Variable Compensation: $60,000.00 USD Annual: Individual Target.
• Actual incentive earnings are not guaranteed and may vary based on achievement of performance goals.
