Role Description

Our client, a leading supplier in the automotive aftermarket industry, is seeking a driven and results-oriented External Sales Representative. This is a remote-based role; however, the successful candidate should be based in Pretoria to effectively service the allocated region. Occasional reporting to the City Deep office will be required.

Role Purpose:

• To drive profitable revenue growth by managing and expanding an allocated customer base through disciplined sales execution, consistent customer engagement, and correct product application in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and recommend products based on customer and market needs
• Generate and follow up on leads (including new COD accounts)
• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices, ensuring follow-through
• Actively grow and maintain customer relationships within the region
• Conduct regular client visits in line with a structured call cycle (80/20 principle)
• Provide product training to customers or coordinate training where required
• Monitor market trends and identify new sales opportunities
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company processes

Qualifications

• Matric (Non-negotiable)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive aftermarket or parts sales
• Experience in wholesale/retail replacement parts sales (advantageous)
• Knowledge or experience in automotive mobile air-conditioning systems (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
