[Hiring] District Manager - Diabetes Care @Abbott

Role Description

This is a field-based position in Southwestern Ontario and works out of our Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. As the District Manager you will have the chance to manage a team of sales representatives to achieve the highest possible sales revenue in the assigned geography.

• Serves as a communication link between the head office staff and the sales force.
• Ensures all sales force information requests are completed in a timely and high-quality manner (TAM, Territory Business Plans, etc.).
• Clarifies and communicates territory goals, expectations, and priorities to representatives.
• Maintains contact with key customers, health care professionals, pharmacies, and key influencers.
• Ensures representatives learn and respect Abbott policy and procedures.
• Controls and helps representatives manage their territory expenses, budgets, and samples.
• Ensures marketing programs are properly executed.
• Creates a high achievement climate that inspires, motivates, and rewards high achievers.
• Encourages open exchange of innovative and cost-effective ideas.
• Communicates market developments to Marketing personnel and Canada operations staff.
• Provides input to the financial planning process.
• Provides forecasts of key products to assist in inventory management.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with key opinion leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health Science is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales leadership role.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing.
• Must be able to travel up to 30% overnight.

Requirements

• The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000.00 to $168,000.00 CAD.
• The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
• The base pay for this position is N/A.
• In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
