Role Description
ConMed Corporation is seeking a talented and experienced Sales Leader to join the Advanced Surgical Sales Enablement team as Director of Sales Training. This is a leadership position with direct reports across sales training functions. The person selected will be leading sales training and development initiatives for our fast-moving sales organization. Through your own efforts and through your team, you will design, create, and deliver comprehensive training for new and tenured sales representatives across multiple platforms. You will also lead our Events programs, including global sales meetings and trade shows. This is a field-based, remote position that is responsible for conducting virtual training and in-person training in our Denver office and in the field coaching the sales team.
What Youβll Do:

Training Program Development:
Design, create, and deliver training programs for:

High spot learning management system

Continuing Education Sales and Product training

Upskilling across all sales functions

Virtual classroom

In-person classroom

Global, National and Regional meetings

Content Development:
Build content for training programs, facilitator guides, and learning modules in three key areas:

Technical product knowledge

Clinical and procedural knowledge

Sales skills
-
Platform Skills:
Deliver compelling training presentations in a variety of settings.

Expertise:
Develop and maintain expert level knowledge in assigned product/marketing portfolios and programs including:

Salesforce.com

Access, Energy, Instruments, Smoke

Coaching:
Observe sales representative training performance, diagnose skill level, and prioritize learning gaps. Coach on specific performance, providing actionable and transparent feedback.

Qualifications
-
5+ years of prior people management experience
-
7+ years medical device sales experience and documented success required
-
Bachelor's Degree
Requirements

Ability to travel is required. Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%
-
ConMed Advanced Surgical medical device experience strongly preferred
-
Previous Sales training (including as a field sales trainer) and/or marketing experience strongly preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to comply with hospital mandated vendor credentialing requirements including immunizations and vaccinations

Strong organizational and time management ability

Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional team environment

High level of energy, self-motivated and self-directed

Working knowledge of Highspot or other Learning Management Systems preferred
