Role Description

This is a role built for a relentless, creative closer. As Director, Partnerships & Revenue for the East Coast Pod, you are the primary engine driving sponsorship revenue across five major events. You own your pipeline from first contact to signed deal. The Senior Director is in your corner for key deals, but this is your book of business to build and grow. You'll also help shape the next generation of PPA sales talent by mentoring the Junior Revenue Associate on your team.

How You Spend Your Time

• 75% - Sponsorship Prospecting & Closing: Building a pipeline, pitching creatively, and closing deals is where most of your energy lives.
• 25% - Ticket Sales & Revenue Support: Support group and premium ticket sales efforts. You know how to connect ticket inventory to sponsor value.

What You'll Own

• Own and manage a full sponsorship sales pipeline from cold outreach to signed contract.
• Prospect local, regional, and national brands aligned with pickleball's growing audience.
• Close deals independently — lean on the Senior Director for strategy and key-moment support.
• Support group and premium ticket sales as a secondary revenue lever.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director on revenue forecasting, pipeline reporting, and event strategy.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to the Associate, Tickets Sales and Partnerships.
• Represent the PPA brand at events and in the market with energy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of sponsorship, media, or sports sales with a proven closing record.
• Demonstrable track record of building and managing your own pipeline independently.
• Strong communicator who can sell to a small local business or a national brand.
• Comfortable being the primary seller without relying on inbound leads.
• Hungry, competitive, and self-motivated — you don't need someone standing over you.
• Experience in sports, live events, or entertainment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel for events and client meetings throughout the season.
