Role Description
AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA, has an immediate opening for a Director of Business Development to lead our industrial reagents, test kits, and equipment sales team. This is a remote position and is subject to customary travel as reasonably required by the Company to perform the essential responsibilities of the role.
The successful candidate will need to possess a strong desire to win business and achieve sales objectives. Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, expectations, and skills will include:

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.

Provide and manage regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and monthly analytics.

Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals; provide guidance and business acumen to drive sales and maintain professional growth.

Comprehend, present, and promote the company’s full range of chemical reagents, test kits, industrial equipment, and services.

Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts in alignment with company guidelines.

Collaborate with internal teams to align business strategies and customer relations with overall company goals.

Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Present monthly sales analytics and review appropriately with team and executive management.

Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to represent the company.
Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or engineering, or related field.

At least 5 years’ proven sales experience in the water treatment, petroleum, and/or chemical industry.

Experience in directly managing and developing a sales team with proven results.

A valid US driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements

A documented track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and/or receiving positive customer feedback.

Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce/HubSpot).

Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts).

Excellent listening, negotiation, collaboration, and professional presentation capabilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Capacity to travel to customer locations, trade shows, and other business needs with little advance notice, using various forms of transportation.

High degree of attention to detail with a desire to achieve goals.
