Role Description
The Director of Brand Partnerships is a senior individual-contributor role focused on driving revenue through brand marketing partnerships. This person will work directly with marketing leaders to develop and sell high-impact, narrative-driven campaigns that position clients in front of Benzinga's retail investor audience.
The role is centered on selling brand dollars, not performance β including:

This is ideal for a seller who understands how brands allocate marketing budgets, how to position content and media as a strategic lever, and how to close multi-touch, multi-month brand partnerships.
Key Responsibilities

Revenue Ownership & Deal Execution

Own and deliver against a significant annual revenue quota focused on brand and content-driven revenue

Source, develop, and close integrated marketing partnerships end-to-end

Package and sell solutions including:

Sponsored content articles
-
Sponsored video and executive interviews
-
Brand storytelling campaigns
-
Newsletter and homepage integrations
-
Creative sponsorships and brand activations
-
Negotiate pricing, packaging, and long-term partnership agreements
-
Close mid-market to enterprise-level brand deals, including six-figure campaigns

Brand Partnerships & Account Development

Build and grow relationships with:

Marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Brand Directors)

Growth and acquisition teams
-
Agencies and media buyers
-
Target key financial verticals including:

Fintech and investing apps
-
Brokerages and trading platforms
-
ETF issuers and asset managers

Crypto and emerging financial platforms

Consumer finance brands
-
Target non-endemics looking to get their story in front of retail investors

Position Benzinga as a trusted media partner for brand storytelling and investor education

Drive repeat business through always-on content programs and recurring campaigns

Pipeline Development
-
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of brand marketing opportunities

Prospect into both direct brands and agencies
-
Identify companies actively investing in awareness (e.g., launches, raises, new products)

Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline
What Success Looks Like

Consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets driven by brand and content partnerships

Closing multi-product, multi-month campaigns (articles + video + distribution + activations)

Building long-term relationships with marketing teams and agencies

Driving repeat revenue through always-on sponsored content programs

Establishing Benzinga as a go-to partner for retail investor-facing brand campaigns
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in:

Media sales
-
Digital advertising
-
Branded content or sponsorship sales

Financial services or fintech marketing/sales
-
Proven track record of closing deals and hitting quota

Experience selling content-driven or brand-led marketing solutions
-
Strong ability to engage senior marketing stakeholders

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting to close
