[Hiring] Digital Director @GumGum

Role Description

Based in Manchester, the Digital Director, Regional UK is an autonomous individual contributor responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and closing advertising sales across the North of England. Reporting to the Regional Sales Lead and supported by a cross-functional pre-sales team, the role focuses on managing a large book of business, developing strategic relationships within large and mid-sized agencies, and upselling GumGum’s product portfolio. The Director leverages deep digital media expertise to independently solve complex client challenges, translate client feedback into internal product insights, and drive consistent regional revenue growth.

What You'll Achieve

• Drive regional UK revenue by managing a book of business and closing new business across large and mid-sized agencies in the North of England.
• Generate a high volume of prospecting activity, including cold outreach, pitch presentations, RFPs, and tailored sales solutions.
• Upsell existing brand and agency clients on both established and new GumGum advertising products.
• Cultivate and expand strategic relationships across client-direct brands, media agency contacts, and holding company teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Client Strategists, and pre-sales teams to ensure sold proposals are executed accurately.
• Translate market and client insights back to internal product teams to help refine and adapt platform offerings.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion to solve client challenges and select optimal ad solutions with minimal managerial oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of digital advertising sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated experience managing a large book of business, backed by an established network of regional brand and agency contacts.
• Solid understanding of the digital media and advertising landscape; programmatic background preferred.
• Proficiency with Salesforce for activity tracking, client logging, and pipeline reporting.
• Working proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Strong presentation, relationship-building, and interpersonal communication skills across all client hierarchy levels.
• Self-motivated, highly proactive, and extraverted approach with an eagerness to entertain clients and adapt to evolving strategies.
