Role Description
The Specialty Care - Dermatology Health & Science Specialist is a field-based specialty sales role responsible for driving adoption of dermatology therapies through strategic, compliant engagement with healthcare providers. This role partners with dermatologists, advanced practice providers, office staff, and key opinion leaders to launch products, ensure access, and deliver differentiated clinical value across assigned accounts. Success in this role requires strong specialty selling skills, deep disease-state knowledge, comfort navigating reimbursement, and the ability to engage customers effectively across in-person and digital channels.
Responsibilities

Execute territory and account strategies to drive demand and achieve sales objectives within a specialty dermatology market.

Build trusted relationships with dermatologists, APPs, and office stakeholders through high-impact in-person and virtual engagements.

Deliver clear, compelling clinical and product messaging using approved promotional materials to influence prescribing behavior.

Navigate formulary access, reimbursement pathways, and patient support resources to improve appropriate patient access.

Leverage data, insights, and analytics to prioritize accounts, plan calls, and identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional partners (Field Medical, Reimbursement, Key Account Management) to address customer needs.

Support product launches and provide field insights to inform brand strategy and execution.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of work experience OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of work experience.

Minimum of 3 years in one or more of the following:

Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales

Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device marketing
-
Aligned therapeutic specific healthcare provider experience

Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
Preferred Qualifications

3–5 years of specialty sales experience, preferably in dermatology, immunology, or inflammation.

Strong understanding of complex disease states, biologics, and specialty reimbursement.

Experience engaging key opinion leaders and high-influence accounts.

Demonstrated business acumen, data-driven decision making, and strategic thinking.

Strong digital engagement capability (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom) and comfort in hybrid selling models.
Work Location & Travel Requirements

This role is field-based and requires the colleague to reside within a workable distance of all points of business within the assigned territory to effectively meet business needs.

Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory.

Depending on the size of territory and business need, candidates may be required to stay overnight as necessary.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,600 - $250,700.

During initial new hire sales training, you will be classified as a salary non-exempt employee which entitles you to overtime pay. Upon your training certification, you will become an overtime exempt employee.

This position offers an additional Sales Incentive bonus.
