Role Description

As a Cold Caller on a freelance, fully remote 40-hour per week contract for three months, you will engage prospective commercial clients across the UK to introduce renewable energy consultancy services. Your core responsibilities include:

• Initiating outbound phone conversations with decision-makers at manufacturing sites, warehouses, and high-energy-use facilities.
• Discussing commercial solar, asset finance, and energy procurement strategies.
• Qualifying leads and booking appointments for deeper consultations.
• Articulating how businesses can manage market volatility and reduce operational energy costs.

Qualifications

• Proven outbound calling and telesales experience, ideally within a B2B environment.
• Clear communication skills and comfort with phone-based outreach.
• Ability to independently manage a full-time weekly schedule while working remotely.

Requirements

• Experience in engaging with decision-makers in commercial and industrial sectors.
• Ability to learn the specific consultative approach used for UK commercial and industrial clients.
• Capability to establish a steady cadence of outbound calls and secure valuable client meetings.

Compensation

The compensation for this freelance role is GBP 750P/M. Additional details include:

• £500 for an RFQ (request for quote), which involves gathering required information, such as energy bills from the client.
• 10% commission bonus for successful projects that go to install.
• Average earnings for cold callers in the first 3 months range between £2-4k.
• From months 3 onwards, expected earnings would be between £3-6k depending on effort and drive to be successful.
