[Hiring] Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist @Tandem Diabetes Care

Role Description

The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned territory.

• Plan and achieve sales goals by gaining clinical acceptance of Tandem's insulin pump therapy products.
• Identify potential customers and develop business relationships to facilitate the use of Tandem Diabetes products and services.
• Become a trusted clinical partner to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, especially those managing Type 1 diabetes.
• Provide account sales support and ongoing education directly to patients, physicians, and their staff.
• Discuss technical aspects of insulin pump therapy and address special considerations related to its use.
• Offer education on diabetes self-management skills, emergency management, and community resources tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance product adoption and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
• Good knowledge of diabetes care, preferably Type 1 diabetes and insulin pump therapy.
• Commercial mindset combined with clinical insight.
• Independent and structured working style.
• Experience with CRM systems and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office and Teams).
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands (approximately 80%).
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical sales, or diabetes care is a plus.
• (Para)medical background such as nursing or dietetics is advantageous.
• Direct experience with or affinity for individuals living with diabetes.
• Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
