Role Description

  • Prospect, qualify, and generate new sales opportunities by engaging funeral home owners, general managers, funeral directors, and marketing decision-makers.
  • Play a critical role in activating new and previously active funeral home businesses through obituary placements.
  • Help funeral homes build meaningful audiences for the families they serve and strengthen their connection to the local communities they support.
  • Leverage LocaliQ’s obituary marketing solutions.

LocaliQ provides ongoing one-on-one training and coaching, giving you the opportunity to build foundational sales skills in:

  • Prospecting
  • Messaging
  • Objection handling
  • Consultative conversations

Qualifications

  • A track record of high achievement or a strong desire to begin and excel in a sales career.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A naturally curious mindset with a passion for learning how businesses operate.
  • A competitive nature with a strong drive to meet and exceed measurable goals.
  • High energy, self-motivation, and resilience.
  • Comfort handling objections and rejection daily.
  • Previous experience demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting (100–120 phone calls per day) to funeral home businesses.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and set appointments with decision-makers.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the funeral home industry and local market dynamics.
  • Clearly articulate and understand the value of LocaliQ’s Obituary audience, rate programs, and technology solutions for obituary placement.
  • Accurately document activity, notes, and outcomes in CRM tools.
