Role Description
Venbrook Claims Services is seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) to support revenue growth by generating new business opportunities and building a strong sales pipeline across our claims management service offerings. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role plays a critical part in identifying prospective clients, conducting outbound outreach, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales team throughout the early stages of the sales process. The BDR will collaborate closely with Sales Representatives, the Vice President of Business Development, and other sales team members to identify target accounts, schedule meetings, assist with pre-sales research, and support marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong outbound prospecting experience, familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and the ability to engage potential clients through phone, email, and social media channels. This role also contributes to market awareness and brand visibility through digital engagement, marketing support, and participation in industry events. This position carries performance metrics and may include a sales quota tied to qualified pipeline generation, booked meetings, and revenue contribution.
Salary range: $60,000 β $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in business development, sales development, or inside sales roles

Duties/Responsibilities

Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, targeted email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new business opportunities.

Identify and qualify prospective clients within insurance carriers, MGAs, brokers, and self-insured organizations.

Generate and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities and schedule introductory meetings and discovery calls for the Sales Team.

Meet or exceed established performance metrics including outbound activity, qualified meetings, and pipeline generation.

Support the Sales Team in advancing opportunities through the sales cycle toward successful close.

Maintain accurate prospecting activity, contact data, and pipeline information within Salesforce.

Research target accounts and key decision-makers to support sales strategy and personalized outreach.

Assist the Sales Team with pre-sales preparation including meeting briefs, prospect insights, and opportunity tracking.

Monitor inbound leads and ensure timely follow-up and qualification.

Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, digital outreach initiatives, and social media engagement.

Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate leads and expand brand visibility.

Track key sales development metrics including outreach activity, meeting generation, and conversion rates.

Provide regular reporting and updates to the Head of Sales on outreach performance and pipeline development.

Support broader business development initiatives that drive awareness and growth for Venbrook Claims services.
Education & Experience

Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Experience in insurance, claims services, risk management, or related industries strongly preferred.

Familiarity with claims administration, TPA services, or insurance operations is a plus.
