Role Description
The Business Development Manager is primarily tasked with driving significant market expansion and increasing penetration within both existing markets and new, untapped segments. This is achieved through a focused approach on acquiring new business and meticulously planning and executing entry strategies into nascent markets or distinct market segments.
This pivotal role is situated within the Consumer Solutions team. The core mandate is to champion the delivery of high-value consumer propositions. This involves identifying, developing, and deploying solutions that enable Equifax's external partners (e.g., financial institutions, fintechs, telecommunications, utilities) to construct and execute superior, high-value consumer journeys. A central component of this is the seamless and strategic integration of proprietary Equifax consumer data, ensuring that partners can enrich their customer interactions, optimize decision-making processes, and enhance overall consumer experience and product relevance.
What you will do

Identify and secure New Customers/Partner Sales, specifically targeting large-scale organisations with extensive customer bases.

Land and grow new Customer/Partner Revenue across the Equifax portfolio, with a focus on offering consumer scores, consumer reports, and other consumer services in a seamless, integrated way.

Develop contact networks within new Customers/Partners and facilitate connections to relevant Equifax counterparts.

Lay early foundations for long-term Customer/Partner Relationships based on trust and value.

Identify, develop, manage, and close opportunities spanning the full suite of Equifax solutions.

Conduct comprehensive research on prospective Client business imperatives, specifically focusing on Risk, Fraud, and Marketing strategies.

Define and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth while delivering meaningful value to the consumer solutions team.

Network and build relationships with economic buyers, decision-makers, and influencers within target organisations.

Lead Account Strategy motions with cross-functional teams to identify sales opportunities tied to Equifax value-add services.

Respond to Prospect RFIs and RFPs with tailored, consumer-focused solutions.

Drive strong pipeline development and disciplined sales execution.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or related Sales experience, including demonstrated experience:

Creating detailed account plans / territory plans
-
Managing the sales pipeline (sales cycle management)

Refining lead generation responsibilities, building and executing a sales campaign with a defined proactive outreach

Creating and presenting business review presentations
-
Negotiating and closing mid to large size deals

Developing tailored presentations and presenting to senior/C-suite decision makers
-
Being held accountable to and delivering on a quota

Articulating the value on products sold

Strong technical proficiencies related to data-driven sales platforms:

Familiarity / Proficiency with Salesforce/HubSpot for lead scoring and high-accuracy pipeline forecasting.

Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI to translate consumer reports into visual ROI insights.

Conceptual grasp of API-driven delivery to lead technical implementation discussions.

Familiarity / Proficiency with Excel and modeling tools to quantify the fiscal impact of consumer data.

Advanced use of prospecting platforms to map complex stakeholder hierarchies in large orgs.
Requirements

Possessing existing industry contracts and a strong professional network within the consumer finance space is a significant plus.
