Role Description
We help schools get more books into kids’ hands while making the process simple for educators. You will play a direct role in building home libraries for students across the country. As a Team Lead, you will manage your own calling territory while helping develop and support a team of Book Blast Outreach Specialists. This is a player-coach role for a proven BBOS who is ready to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities

Territory
-
Call, email, and SMS school contacts to introduce Book Blast and schedule presentations.

Confirm attendance, send calendar invites, and handle reschedules with speed and care.

Encourage principal participation and ensure the right stakeholders are in the room.

Use approved scripts, call sequencing, and scripted rebuttals to handle objections and move prospects forward.

Log activities, notes, and outcomes in HubSpot with complete and timely data.

Follow compliant outreach practices that respect school policies and student privacy.

Participate in special project work including inbound leads, referrals, and win-back accounts.

Own a designated special project area as an assigned area of team-wide responsibility.

Serve as first tester of new scripting and email templates before rollout, providing feedback to help refine and improve.

Team Leadership

Serve as the first point of contact for BBOS team member questions, providing timely guidance and escalating to the Outbound Manager as needed.

Conduct regular one-on-ones and call review sessions with assigned BBOS team members.

Deliver specific, actionable feedback that helps reps improve skills and confidence.

Help calibrate and maintain quality standards across the team.

Support onboarding and ongoing development, reinforcing playbooks and booking standards.

Identify performance trends and communicate observations to the Outbound Manager.

Contribute to a team culture that is accountable, high-energy, and mission-connected.
How Success Is Measured

Individual Production
-
At least 50 dials per day.

At least 8 booked presentations per week.

Show rate of 65% or better and principal-present rate.

35% conversion rate from attended presentations to agreements.

Agreements within 30 days of presentation.

Data quality and process compliance in HubSpot.

Team Leadership

Consistent one-on-one and call review cadence with assigned BBOS team members.

Performance trends identified and addressed proactively.

Team show rate and booking quality at or above team benchmarks.
Qualifications

Proven track record as a BBOS with consistent performance against activity and booking metrics.

Experience with scripts, scripted rebuttals, and call sequencing.

Clear, warm communication and active listening skills, with prospects and with teammates.

Ability to give direct, constructive feedback in a way that motivates.

Strong organization and follow-through.

Proficiency with HubSpot, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated experience navigating school environments and building rapport with busy educators.

Prior experience mentoring, training, or informally leading peers.

Work Location
Remote role with calling hours aligned to school time blocks in the assigned region or territory. Weekly rhythm includes team standups, regular one-on-ones with assigned BBOS team members, standups with the Outbound Manager, and call reviews and QA calibration sessions. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
