Role Description
Drive new revenue by owning and growing the US territory, hunting for new opportunities and closing high-velocity mid-market SaaS deals. You’ll learn how to sell a cutting-edge Legal AI product into high-growth commercial teams. You’ll play a key role in helping Genie AI scale revenue across the US. Your success directly fuels our mission to democratise legal know-how and reshape a £750bn industry.

Your manager, Rafie Faruq, our Co-Founder & CEO, will develop your skills and enable you to deliver on the pod mission.

You’ll work closely with the wider revenue team as we scale our go-to-market strategy across the US.
This is what you’ll be doing:
-
Outbound prospecting: Reach potential customers through LinkedIn, email, calls, events and other outbound techniques.

Pipeline generation: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and nurture opportunities from open to close, employing excellent CRM hygiene.

High-velocity SaaS sales: Run a fast sales cycle (typically under 30 days) from discovery to close with mid-market businesses, making use of automation in your sales cycle where possible.

Territory ownership: Be the first AE to fully own parts of the EMEA region, building and scaling your territory.

Deal execution: Run demos, present solutions and close five-figure deals with commercial teams.

New product launch: Help bring Genie AI’s newest product to market and drive adoption across key industries.
This is how we’ll set you up for success and the outcomes we expect from you:

Over your first 90 days you can expect us to help point you in the right direction to set you up for success.

Month 1: Deeply understand our product, customers and ideal customer profile; Shadow calls with Rafie and the revenue team; Begin running your own sales calls, using a playbook which we’ll give you.

Month 2: Close your first deals; Start building and nurturing your own pipeline; Adapt your playbook and take full ownership of your territory.

Month 3: Close around half a dozen deals; Independently generate pipeline; Run your own full sales cycles.
By the end of your first six months we expect you to be:

Consistently hitting revenue targets.

Generating and managing your own sales pipeline.

Closing multiple deals each month.
-
Playing a key role in scaling our US revenue engine.
We’ll continually develop and measure success on the below criteria:

Revenue generated.
-
Number of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) created.

Number of proposals sent per week/month.

Deal conversion rates.

Qualifications

Experience closing B2B SaaS deals in a high-velocity sales environment.

Proven and recent success hunting for and generating your own qualified leads.

Experience selling into technology companies or commercial teams.
-
Comfortable managing sub-30 day sales cycles.

Strong communication and presentation skills.
-
High energy, resilience and motivation to hit (and exceed) quota.

A strong drive to succeed in a startup environment.
