[Hiring] Account Executive I @AFCO Direct

Role Description

The Account Executive’s (AE) primary role is to build solid long-lasting client relationships over time through consistent delivery of competitive loan product offerings.

• Evaluate loan opportunities and underwrite credit risk within approval authority.
• Deliver executable loan commitments/agreements offering competitive rates and terms to Agent/Broker clients.
• Decision and deliver binding agreements to clients.
• Credit authority levels increased significantly (10-20x in exposure) as of November 2022.
• Independently decision approximately 90% of all loans requested of AFCO Direct.
• Interpret borrower financial statements and review policy binders/endorsements.
• Understand competition and their product offerings compared to AFCO Direct loan offerings.
• Provide recommendations to upper management and/or underwriting for larger transactions.
• Build trust and effective relations with AFCO clients through delivery of loan transactions.
• Work independently and in parallel with external Sales Teammates.
• Credit decision authority may ramp up to $100k in exposure and $1 Million per transaction.
• Cooperate with Truist Credit Administration for loan commitments exceeding authority limits.
• Provide competitive loan commitments and underwriting of premium finance loans daily.
• Follow up to secure quote and renewal opportunities while maintaining client relationships.
• Review executed loan document packages for compliance with approval granted.
• Solicit new and renewal financing opportunities and work closely with external Sales counterparts.
• Provide reports to management on production, lost quotes, new business, and portfolio returns.
• Must be a self-starter, tracking territory performance versus established goals.
• Work in a near paperless process flow where all activities are completed electronically.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong math aptitude.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in finance or business-related field (preferred).
• Commercial insurance and financial services experience (preferred).
• Proven internal sales performance and relationship management via account or territory management (preferred).
