Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, scrappy, organized and results-driven Account Executive to join our dynamic Ad Solutions team at beehiiv. As a dedicated Account Executive on the Ad Solutions team, youβll focus on driving net new business and hitting aggressive targets. You will be a full-cycle seller, responsible for:

Prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals with potential advertising partners.

Personalized communication across various platforms, including 1:1 personalized email outreach, social media prospecting (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.), and face-to-face interaction with potential customers.
Qualifications

Ownership & Hustle: Excited to start a sales process and scale an ad business from scratch.

Bias for Action: Ready to answer questions with action and get stuff done.

Proven Advertising Sales Experience: 5-7 years as an Account Executive (or similar) with a track record of exceeding ad sales targets.

Deep Advertising Knowledge: Strong understanding of ad sales, digital media, and monetization strategies.

Hunter Mentality: Love outbound prospecting and finding creative ways to break into new accounts.

Excellent Communicator: Strong ability to engage, present, and negotiate with executive-level stakeholders.

Tech-Savvy: Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Apollo, etc.).

Newsletter sales experience: Not a requirement, but a big plus if youβve sold newsletter advertising before.
Requirements

Full Funnel Sales: Execute a full funnel sales cycle to hit quarterly quotas.

Prospect & Close: Identify, engage, and convert brands, agencies, and direct advertisers into long-term partners.

Manage full-cycle ad sales: From outreach and discovery to negotiation, contracting, and campaign kickoff.

Client development & renewal: Maintain a close relationship with our post-sale team to identify & execute on upsell and renewal opportunities.

Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with operations, product, and leadership to ensure seamless ad delivery and client success.

Optimize performance: Use various CRM & research tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Nav) to track pipeline and maximize revenue growth.
