[Hiring] Account Director Nordics @SurePay

Role Description

SurePay is rapidly expanding across Europe, and the Nordics is our next growth frontier. Having successfully secured initial Tier-1 anchor accounts and strategic market partnerships, our primary focus is shifting from pure acquisition to account expansion and regional market dominance. While new business lands the initial partnership, your role is to step in, own, and systematically scale our top strategic accounts. You will manage a focused portfolio of key enterprise banking relationships across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland—unlocking cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for our Account Name Verification (AVS) and Fraud & Risk Indicators (FRI) solutions. You will be the face of Surepay for the Nordics market, ensuring our clients receive maximum value from our solutions while advising them on the evolving fraud landscape.

• Strategic Account Ownership: Manage and scale a high-value portfolio of top Nordic financial institutions.
• Drive Revenue Expansion: Cross-sell and up-sell AVS and FRI modules into landed accounts to expand domestic and international footprints.
• Build Multi-Threaded Networks: Map out complex enterprise bank hierarchies. Build deep, resilient relationships across C-Level, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Innovation departments.
• Act as a Trusted Advisor: Translate complex regulatory, fraud prevention, and payment infrastructure challenges into measurable business value for client banks.
• Collaborate for Seamless Handovers: Work hand-in-hand with New Business Development to ensure seamless post-sale transitions, driving immediate adoption and long-term retention.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of payment infrastructure, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and risk landscape within the Nordic banking sector.
• Ability to build ROI-driven business cases and conduct value-based selling rather than feature-pushing.
• Practical execution using structured sales frameworks (MEDDPICC mindset required).
• Skilled at opening doors at multiple levels within complex financial organizations.
• Quickly understands complex banking frameworks and positions SaaS solutions to meet strict technical and regulatory needs.
• Strong collaborator who works seamlessly with Business Development, Customer Success, and Product teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing relations on C level with large banks or financial institutions, preferably selling SaaS/fintech solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
