Role Description

BlastPoint is seeking a revenue leader with very strong hunter tendencies who (within the last 3 years) created demand and managed accounts for enterprise software products leading a high-performing team - bonus points for products that were AI/ML powered. We are looking for a leader who can take a strong market position and make it a market dominating position as we expand to new verticals and industries.

This position demands intensity, drive, and a competitive spirit. We're seeking someone who thrives on outworking the competition and understands that startup success rarely happens within the confines of a traditional 9-5 schedule.

In this role, your success will be measured by one clear metric: ARR growth. We maintain a high-accountability environment where results speak louder than effort. This isn't about attending meetings or status updates - it's about driving deals forward and hitting targets consistently.

  • Drive and exceed the company's revenue targets
  • Lead, develop and grow the sales team (both new and existing business)
  • Carry your own book of business while managing the team
  • Refine the sales process, objection handling, and pipeline management systems
  • Drive strategic deals and help the team navigate complex sales cycles
  • Create and implement sales training programs and battle cards
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management
  • Report to the board on sales metrics and growth strategies as appropriate
  • Travel to meet with strategic prospects and clients face-to-face (expect 30% travel)
  • Collaborate with Marketing, CS, and Product teams to ensure alignment and timely outcomes

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in B2B SaaS sales, ideally in or adjacent to regulated industries with data-driven products
  • Experience scaling a sales team during a hyper growth phase
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex enterprise deals ($100K+)
  • Strong preference for candidates from nimble, scrappy environments rather than large corporate backgrounds - we need builders, not maintainers
  • Experience selling into highly regulated industries (utilities, financial services, healthcare) is a plus
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train and retain top talent
  • Data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Capability for understanding and explaining technology
  • Strategic skills in communicating customer needs
  • Collaborative approach to setting incentives for the whole team
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

Requirements

  • We're looking for candidates who match one or more of these profiles:
  • A director-level leader ready to step up to their first VP role in a supportive environment
  • A VP who has been part of a significant growth journey (even if not as the #1)
  • Someone who has been a key enabler of a revenue leader (#2 or #3) at a company that scaled from early stage to $30M+ ARR
  • An experienced VP looking for a new challenge where they can make their mark and transition into an AI product company
