Role Description

This role involves providing technical support and solutions related to engine filtration and clean solutions in the field.

  • Technically support Territory Managers and Key Accounts Managers
  • Secure sales growth by formulating solutions/proposals to end customers
  • Effectively train and support distributors and end-users in product knowledge
  • Implement and execute field service strategy to achieve or exceed annual sales and profit goals
  • Support and focus on all Donaldson market initiatives
  • Troubleshoot at customers’ sites to determine root causes and design solutions
  • Provide continuous feedback on industry trends at the end customer level
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on authorized distributors for improvement
  • Conduct complex product trials on critical equipment
  • Support customers with value-add activities (e.g., extend service intervals, upgrade air cleaners)
  • Work with product management team to develop new products

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Civil or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Prior training on mechanism of filtration and diesel engine

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience in heavy equipment, mechanical engineering, and/or fuel, lube industries
  • Minimum 3 years of field sales engineering experience in a relevant field
  • Must be technically inclined with Product Engineering and Application Engineering experience
  • Knowledge and experience in air & liquid engine filtration, hydraulics, fluid power, biodiesel preferred
  • Experience related to diesel engine heavy equipment in mining and/or construction market
  • Strong sales aptitude with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Effective written and verbal skills in English
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
