Role Description
As the Head of our Business Development Managers in Integrated Sales, you will lead a team of Client Sales and Office Based professionals, working with industry-leading companies to deliver integrated Supply Chain solutions from a broad and industry-leading product portfolio. You will be working at the center of Maersk as a Global Integrator of Container Logistics and reporting to the North America Head of Integrated Sales.
We are seeking an energetic, customer-obsessed leader who thrives on understanding complexities and opportunities within customer supply chains. The candidate should have a proven track record of coaching, developing, and leading teams. A strategic mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and to coach sales professionals to win new and additional business across various supply chain products.
In this role, you will:

Own and deliver P&L as per budget for your Client Segment

Coach and drive sales team to sell and grow across a complete portfolio of supply chain products such as Air, E-Commerce, CHB, Warehouse & Distribution, Middle Mile, and Ecommerce Logistics

Build a strong and active Commercial community across the US

Sponsor Pursuits and Customers in case of major escalations

Actively use our Winning Behaviors as guiding framework for business decisions, team direction, and daily management of your area of responsibility

Lead and set direction for each Client relationship according to budget β in terms of delivering new business across Logistics & Services products and optimizing overall profitability

Be the face, advocate, and enforcer of what Customer Orientation really means

Always put our Customers first

Actively monitor local Net Promoter Score for each Client within your team and drive local practices to improve customer satisfaction

Manage stakeholders across the area, region, and global functions

Actively provide feedback to the head of Integrated sales, the global vertical head, or product lead based on customer feedback and insights

Feed business development managers with relevant leads

Build and develop a best-in-class sales team

Ensure succession plans are in place for key roles including own role

Coach direct reports for success and development; manage team engagement

Develop vertical/segment sales skills of direct reports
Qualifications
-
A proven leader with 10+ years of 3PL/4PL Logistics sales experience and/or supply chain management sales; relevant experience with global customers is a plus

BachelorΒ΄s degree in Management or Supply Chain is preferred

Strong leadership attributes including coaching and development

Commercial skills - to identify new clients who could benefit from Maersk products & services and maximize commercial opportunities with existing customers
