Role Description
The Area Business Manager (ABM) for East Japan is a critical leadership position within the Commercial Japan department, responsible for spearheading strategic growth and operational excellence across these key regions.
- Optimize sales strategies and cultivate robust relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage Key Account Managers (KAM) and operations across multiple locations.
- Execute the company's strategic vision for growth in Japan.
- Enhance brand recognition, increase market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives align with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies tailored to East Japan's market dynamics.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sales and marketing professionals.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners.
- Drive the achievement of regional sales targets by developing and executing effective sales plans.
- Lead KAM certification and account planning sales training programs.
- Develop monthly business reviews to assess progress and recalibrate strategies.
- Lead weekly team meetings to align priorities and address challenges.
- Establish partnerships with wholesalers to expand market reach.
- Prepare detailed reports on market conditions and present findings to senior leadership.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within Rare Diseases.
- Proven success in managing and developing people.
- Certified Medical Representative preferred.

Travel Requirements
The Area Business Manager requires approximately 50% travel to effectively manage and support regional teams and engage with key stakeholders.
