Role Description
The Sr. Research Manager (RM) is responsible for development and execution of the research strategy and overall management of the research portfolio for the Ultrasound AI Center of Excellence, which includes Caption Healthcare and Intelligent Ultrasound teams under our Advanced Visualization Solutions segment.
The RM leads a cross-functional team to develop the research strategy based on the overall business strategy for Ultrasound Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring the research portfolio supports the business focus and that individual study results are utilized and deliver impact.

Engaging and supporting clinical and technical sites in their research studies.

Collaborating with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive research strategies and plans.

Leading decision-making for prioritization and resource allocation across the full research portfolio.

Identifying research opportunities that deliver impact and support business strategy.

Seeking out academic partners well-suited for a GEHC partnership.

Defining product strategic research needs from business planning sessions.

Responding to and assessing incoming research proposals.

Developing NPI specific evidence strategies and plans including evaluation plans.

Partnering with the Research Program Integrator (RPI) to support execution on research studies.

Supporting the utilization of research results and assessing their impact.

Continuously measuring impact and value to business of the individual studies and the full research portfolio.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree in life science, engineering, clinical field, or equivalent.

8+ years of experience in medical research and product development.

Experience in working with AI development in ultrasound imaging.

Strong experience in engaging with academic and clinical research partners.

Proven research experience in a clinical setting, industry, or government agency.

Demonstrated understanding and experience with GXP practices, research or device manufacturer regulations, research processes, or NPI cycles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Requirements

Advanced Degree in life science, engineering, clinical field (desired).

Familiarity with GE HealthCare tools and processes (desired).

Experience in managing clinical research or strategic decision making (desired).
