Role Description
The Data Evaluator is expected to gather, manage, and analyze data for funded grants and projects under the direct supervision of the PI. This position is also expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. This role is essential to ensuring data integrity and supporting the translation of research findings into strategic reports or scientific publications.
Responsibilities

Data Evaluation (55%)

Organization and cleaning of datasets including filtering out duplicates, filtering skewed data, and correcting data problems to guarantee reliable outputs.

Overseeing ongoing data collection, documentation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement efforts as needed.

Perform statistical analysis for use in measuring program effectiveness, grant reporting, and contribution to preparation of manuscripts.

Analyzes project performance and progress based on key performance indicators.

Ensures smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of evaluation and data collection activities in each setting.

Contribute to the creation, design, and execution of surveys and materials related to research and quality improvement activities.

Oversee quality control for data collection and research processes.

Administrative Duties (40%)
-
Acts as the primary administrative point of contact for internal project staff and as the principal operational liaison between SDSU Research Foundation and other organizations as necessary.

Collaborate with administrative team at HEY on continued quality improvement for day-to-day activities, project implementation.

Supervises activities of any support staff/interns/students who are engaged in implementing any research projects or contracts related to CEED, including some oversight and collaboration with the consultation coordinator to ensure continued staff is meeting timelines and assigned appropriately.

Managing research timelines, ensuring compliance and order assessments/equipment as needed.

Collaborates with PIs and other project administrators on project protocol and implementation.

Manage finances including the development and oversight of budgets and expenses.

Training of junior personnel/support staff as needed.

Meet regularly with administrative team at HEY.

Other Duties as Assigned (5%)
Qualifications
-
Act as a critical leader to bridge the gap between project staff and PI.

Experience with analysis software (SPSS) and data visualizations tools.

High attention to detail and ability to problem solve.

Strong writing skills and familiarity with research, grant, and contract writing.
Requirements
-
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year university.

Three years of experience in technical research or statistical work experience.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Skills
-
Master of Science in Child and Family Development or another related field.

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
