[Hiring] Research Administrator @University of Texas at Austin

Role Description

Support the research community at The University of Texas at Austin in the capacity of a Research Administrator in the Office of Sponsored Projects. Primary duties are to support the Proposal Team.

• Coordinate with OSP Operations Team to monitor and manage incoming proposal-related action items and Pre-Award messages.
• Follow up on status of outstanding actions in a timely manner.
• Assist with document collection as instructed by Pre-Award Managers.
• Input required data into UTRMS.
• Save required documentation onto OSP server.
• Assist Pre-Award Managers with support as needed.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of experience with preparation and submission of sponsored project proposals or administration of project accounts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Success working in a team setting and independently in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to shift focus and work on competing priorities.
• Professional Demeanor.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience working in a sponsored projects office and experience working directly with administrative support tasks related to grants or contracts management.
• Project-based work experience.
• Experience with UT Research Management System.
• UT Austin experience.
• Extensive customer service background.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational skills.
