[Hiring] Test Automation Engineer @Greenbone

Role Description

Design, develop, automate, and maintain end-to-end and integration tests for our software products, including cross-team workflows.

• Analyze, review, and document test results, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve identified issues.
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage and prioritize the development of additional test cases.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure testing aligns with business and product requirements.
• Promote and strengthen a culture of quality awareness within the team.

Qualifications

• Degree or completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification, with professional experience in software testing or test automation.
• Strong experience with at least one of our preferred automation tools (Playwright or Cypress), with overall 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Experience with API and Integration testing.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles (e.g. Test design techniques, BDD testing, ISTQB foundation-level knowledge).
• Strong analytical skills, a structured and independent working style, and a pronounced quality mindset.
• Ability to quickly understand existing testing processes and systematically improve them.
• Team-oriented, reliable, and communicative, with a high level of commitment and ownership.
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and complex challenges.
• English at full-business proficiency level in word and written; German would be a plus.
