[Hiring] Supplier Quality Engineer @Jabil

Role Description

To be a technical focal point to monitor and work supplier quality issues directly with the manufacturer and communicate status on non-conforming parts/suppliers across all programs. Evaluate supplier performance, determine appropriate Inspection processes and provides guidance to Receiving Inspection function at the site level.

Responsible for maintaining a controlled documentation system, record retention, and information services function, including electronic records retention processes.

Prepares and reviews required documentation such as:

• Good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Procedure manuals
• Quality control manuals
• Engineering documents
• Manufacturing instructions
• Change authorizations and forms in accordance with company policy and government regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
• 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role ideally in a regulated environment or Manufacturing Engineering
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Requirements

• Performs the supplier qualification process and activities for new suppliers, changes, and exits
• Ensures maintenance of supplier qualification and supplier re-evaluation documentation
• Releases and maintains the Approved Supplier List
• Support audit request providing supplier quality data and supplier point of contacts to Supplier Audit team
• Lead and execute supplier risk assessments
• Lead and execute Supplier Quality Agreements
• Performs the maintenance of the Quality Record retention process
• Performs the maintenance of SharePoint and databases related to Supplier Qualification process and Scorecard dashboard
• Analytics and data reporting to support supplier metrics, dashboards and supplier and quality management reviews
• Ensures compliance with cGMP, EN ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820/201/211, EuGMP and FDA/Regulatory requirements for the Quality System
• Supports regulatory, customer, and internal inspections/audits
• Implements corrective actions as needed related to Supplier Qualification process
• Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events
• Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes
• Serve as the focal person for commodity related quality and functional issues
• Ensure that all production critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Serve as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods
• Ensuring ongoing site supplier evaluation is performed
• Perform supplier audit interfacing with Corporate SQE if applicable
• Provide documentation to perform Inspection of components per Inspection Plans in SAP
• Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base
• Drive supplier selection strategies that yield a supply base that can be used across all customer programs
• Proactively communicate information or issues that may impact the product costs of manufacturability
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
