Role Description

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating within the team of developers, designers, and product owners to understand the use cases for new features prior to testing.
• Analyzing user stories and business requirement documents to generate test cases.
• Providing release testing summary reports to leadership and product teams.
• Participating in Scrum activities and contributing to feasibility discussions related to new features.
• Participating in requirements gathering, design reviews, test plan development, test case execution, and defect tracking.
• Agile methodology experience in creating epic stories, user stories, tasks, project plan, and estimates.
• Communicating with leads regarding project readiness, status, and potential risks.
• Designing, formulating, and optimizing application test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases based on templates and agreed-upon processes.
• Reviewing requirements and design documents with developers and Quality Assurance Manager to confirm expected functionality with technical and business needs.
• Tracking and coordinating defect resolution and retesting, quantifying and mitigating risk accordingly.
• Researching problems, testing, training, and documenting best practices.
• Expertise working on a fleet management system that simulates various scenarios, such as tracking vehicle locations, generating reports, and ensuring the system accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer & Information Technology, or closely related field.
• 3 years work experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst, Tester, Technical Lead, or closely related occupation.

Requirements

• Expertise/knowledge of developing and executing quality assurance strategies for transportation software, hardware, and compliance-focused systems.
• Collaborating with developers and product owners to review requirements and design documents, applying Agile methodologies to ensure clarity, alignment, and high-quality delivery.
• Performing test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and RCA/CAPA activities, while conducting functional, integration, and API testing.
• Experience in performing WCAG accessibility validation, including keyboard navigation, NVDA screen reader, and color contrast using WAVE to ensure fully accessible web applications.
• Applying QA standards and processes including ISO 9001, NTCIP 1218, and supporting DOT safety compliance, regulatory audits, and PRISM-related activities.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and ensuring detailed results tracking in the QASE test management tool.
• Leveraging QASE Aiden to build automated test scripts that enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (JavaScript or Java) is required along with experience in Microsoft Playwright.
• Establishing data integrity standards across test environments using GoodData and applying strong analytical skills to evaluate large datasets with SQL and Microsoft Office tools.
• Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.
