Role Description

This is an opportunity to join the close-knit Product & Development team of an established, award-winning UK SaaS business operating in the property technology sector. You will gain international exposure while taking meaningful ownership of software quality assurance and application support. It is an ideal next step if you already have a foundation in manual software testing and would like to broaden your experience across application support, release management and product operations.

You will support the smooth operation of the Product & Development team by taking responsibility for day-to-day software testing and application support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting functional and regression testing
• Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases and test reports
• Identifying, documenting and tracking software defects
• Working with developers to replicate issues and support timely resolution
• Assisting with the management of test environments
• Contributing QA input during sprint planning and Scrum meetings
• Triaging and prioritising application-support queries
• Managing communication relating to support issues and releases
• Assisting with release documentation and training materials
• Supporting internal release and training sessions
• Assisting with the piloting of upcoming releases with external stakeholders
• Working towards agreed application-support service levels and resolution times

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in software QA or testing
• A sound understanding of functional and regression testing
• Experience identifying, documenting and tracking defects
• Confidence working with applications, systems and technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Good time and task management
• The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for support
• A curious, organised and positive approach to learning

Requirements

• Experience using Jira or similar issue-tracking software (advantageous)
• Previous SaaS or application-support experience (advantageous)
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment (advantageous)
• Experience creating formal test cases or other test documentation (advantageous)
• You do not need to arrive with extensive product-operations or release-management experience. These areas can be developed during the contract.
