Role Description

Architecting and implementing comprehensive test automation frameworks
Work with the QA Lead to help define and refine testing standards and best practices
Proactively help identify potential risks in testing strategies and propose mitigation strategies
Involved in technical discussions and decision-making regarding testing
Designing and developing robust test plans and cases for complex functionalities
Enhance test coverage by building automated tests, enabling faster release cycles
Improving code quality by creating performance, regression, integration, unit tests and participating in code reviews
Facilitating continuous testing by integrating seamlessly into the development workflow and managing test environments, test data sets, etc.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and Stakeholders
Cultivating a test mentality throughout Software Engineering
Tracking defect trends and reporting on quality metrics
Transitioning test auditing to the QA team
Help the QA team to drive the long-term software quality vision of the company
Boosting software release quality confidence

Qualifications

Minimum of eight (8) years of proven experience as a SDET
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field. Candidates with equivalent education, plus relevant work experience, may also be considered
Strong programming skills in languages such as .Net C# automation framework with Reqnroll using gherkin
API testing experience, manually using Postman or similar tools, as well as automation using C# or similar languages
Experience in database testing and intermediate querying capabilities
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, …)
A deep understanding of CI/CD tools, test automation frameworks
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Experienced self-starters who can hit the ground running in challenging situations
