Peraton is seeking an experienced Site Installation Quality Assurance Specialist to support the FAA's Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) modernization effort. This is a hands-on field role supporting the modernization of critical FAA facilities across the National Airspace System (NAS). You'll serve as an on-site quality representative, ensuring equipment, cabling, power, grounding, installations, and system interfaces are completed correctly, safely, and in accordance with approved designs and quality standards.

Work Location:

• Remote work is permitted; candidates must reside within the contiguous United States.
• Must be able to travel 50-90% of the time to support deployments at CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.

In this position, you will:

• Customer Collaboration
  • Ensure the installation process does not hinder facility operations.
  • Coordinate schedules with on-site personnel and governmental leads.
  • Communicate technical issues to both engineering and management audiences.
• Site Readiness & Equipment Inspection
  • Verify equipment and materials have been delivered and meet approved site survey.
  • Identify discrepancies before installation and coordinate corrective action.
• Installation & Construction Quality
  • Confirm installations match approved drawings and that as-built conditions are accurately reflected in redlined documentation.
  • Document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and communicate quality issues to installation teams and program leadership.
• Quality & Workmanship Controls
  • Verify installation teams follow required quality-control processes.
• Site Activation & Final Acceptance
  • Perform final installation inspections and verify completed work aligns with approved designs and redlined/as-built drawings.
  • Document inspection results and support resolution of deficiencies prior to site acceptance.

As a Site Installation Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be one of the final lines of defense for installation quality—helping ensure systems are installed correctly and ready to support the people who safely manage America's airspace.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ related experience or Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience or Associates degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience.
• 5+ years of construction, installation, field inspection, quality assurance, or related technical experience, preferably supporting government or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience inspecting electrical, telecommunications, network, low-voltage, equipment installation, cabling, and/or construction activities.
• Experience verifying installation quality against engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, site plans, and installation requirements.
• Working knowledge of cable routing, labeling, termination, testing, connectors, power, and grounding.
• Ability to identify installation deficiencies and clearly document inspection findings and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of applicable construction, safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
• Ability to travel to FAA sites 50-90% as required to support site preparation, installation, activation, and acceptance activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting FAA programs, NAS systems, aviation facilities, or other mission-critical government environments.
• Experience performing site quality inspections, construction surveillance, installation verification, or acceptance inspections.
• Experience with telecommunications, network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optics, electrical systems, equipment racks, or control-room environments.
• Familiarity with E-IDS, information display systems, air traffic control facilities, or similar operational technology environments.
• Experience with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, or other applicable construction and electrical standards.
• Experience documenting and maintaining quality inspection records, deficiency reports, test results, and as-built/redline documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with installers, engineers, subcontractors, quality teams, program leadership, and government customers.

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position.
• Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
• Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
